Water filter

I re-piped much of the plumbing under the galley sink. When getting ready for this job, I noticed that only the cold water in the galley sink was piped through the large Culligan water filter. I talked with Carl Peterson at the Nordic Tug Factory and he said the boats that have those filters were indeed hooked up that way (i.e., cold water galley faucet only). I just could not understand the logic in this so I changed the piping so that all incoming water (including the newly piped facility for marina water*) goes through this filter. At least, it will keep the "big gunk" out.
